Rocky Mountain National Park - With over one third of the park made up of snow-mantled peaks and tundra, this is truly high-country wilderness. Spread across the tundra are fields of flowers that contain many plants characteristic of the Arctic. In the lower elevations the wilderness changes o glacier-formed lakes, heavy forest, and valley medows repleate with flowers. Many kinds of wildlife round out the scene.
