Operation of Alcatraz Island
The hours of operation vary with the season. Transport to Alcatraz Island is provided only by Blue & Gold Fleet out if Fisherman's Warf (Pier 41), San Francisco. Alcatraz itself is open every day except Christmas and New Year day. Alcatraz frequently sells out in advance, as much as a week in advance in summer and near holidays.
